This might sound weird at first, but stick with me for a second. Rip up a bunch of kale and throw it on a pan. Sprinkle generously with salt, pepper, cayenne pepper and Parmesan cheese. Stick it in the oven on 500 degrees until its crispy.
Seriously, these are addicting. They are like healthy potato chips and I could eat them all day long. They make the perfect side to a sandwich and you can use whatever spices you want. Make it spicy, or not. Cumin would be good and I've used chili powder before. In my opinion, though, the parmesan cheese really makes it. They are so surprisingly good that I actually crave them. Lets be honest though, is there anything that wouldn't taste good salted and crispy?

That's so funny! My husband made some of these yesterday! We love kale -- especially in "chip" form. It's more difficult to feel the love when I throw it in green smoothies. Ick.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you, kale is a little over powering in the smoothies somtimes. I usually only add it to smoothies that have berries since they mask the flavor (and texture) better than mango or peach. The rest of my smoothies get baby spinach..taste and texture goes undetected :)
